Object identification issues - Selenium - And QTP as well.

I am trying to analyze the issues for SElenium and QTP.

In QTP, we have seen, sometimes, issues for object identification. QTP does not identify some webelements, and in such scenarios Virtual Objects also won't work.

As I am not much knowledgeable of Selenium, I would like to know how many testers see the same issue - Object identification (surely web related).

I have not encountered it my self but I heard of others having trouble with HTML 5 elements - like canvas
