How to get Response from Web Services?

Hi All,

Does anyone knows how to get the response from web services? for ex. any Cart site using Webdriver!  There is an test scenario for placing an order. While placing we have to click on "add to cart" @ that point I need to validate the response from web services(servers) . Can any one help me on this ?

You need to get the WebSerivce description from development team. Weather soap or rest or any other. And then on the basis of this you can write test.
