Can you describe the basic of assertion and why we using assertion bcz one interviewer asked me and i am not getting satisfactory answer.

Hi Tanya, In a gist, automated assertion are used to carry out checks on application as like manual tests, like verifying a text on a page. But the bigger question is that I explaining this here may help you cracking the interview if interviewer were really foolish but how would you carry on new tasks
